The original ‘Bixler’ 3 lug mount uses no springs to fail. This mount locks up rock solid unlike the typical spring loaded 3 lug mount. The mount was made by Shaw Arms and threaded 1.180×24 (old Gemtech thread pattern). I threaded an new old stock Gemtech aluminum endcap for this thread pattern. Red Loctite was applied then the Shaw 3 lug mount was torqued into this endcap.
