This is for people that do NOT want to deal with added complication of dealing with a spacer in their buffer tube to have an ‘Extended stroke’ setup. Especially for those that are using standard 556 lowers and swapping between the CMMG RDB to a rifle caliber and are not using a corresponding rifle caliber carrier that is designed or modified for extended stroke.
Now if you are using dedicated pistol caliber lower and never swap uppers and want max performance then maybe you would prefer to also do ‘Extended stroke’. This is to machine the carrier that YOU provide (or if purchasing an upper from me, which saves you the trouble of shipping to us later) to remove approximately 1.9 ounces of weight off the carrier. You should see a 2oz total drop if using a Titanium firing pin.
If you are wanting this service to be done to a carrier that is not in our possession, you must pay to get it shipped to us. We will cover the return shipping.
I do these when I have at least two of them on hand to do. I don’t want to do them one at a time. If I happen to have some new carriers on hand that have already been modified and you send me a new one with no wear or brass marks and is clearly new, I can swap it out. If you send me one that has been used or has any wear or brass marks, you will have to wait till I have at least two on hand to do the work to your carrier.
