Pictured below is the original GA SOB buffer on the left.  The mangled rubber washer on the left was between the brass head on the buffer body and got beat up so bad that it went over the buffer body during firing and seized the gun up.  Also note that the bumper got deformed.  Griffin sent me the replacement on the right.  The later design eliminated the rubber washer and they made the brass head larger.
